DHI Hair Transplant

What is DHI Pen Technique and How is it Performed?

DHI (Direct Hair Implant) is a popular technique in hair transplantation in recent years. Although it is similar to the FUE technique, it has some important differences. In DHI, hair follicles are implanted directly into the hairless area using a special pen. This eliminates the need for channel opening and makes the implantation process faster and more precise.

How is DHI Technique Performed?

Extraction of Grafts: As in the FUE technique, hair follicles are extracted one by one from the donor area.
Placement of Grafts in the Pen: The extracted hair follicles are placed in a specially designed pen.
Starting the Implantation: The hair follicles are placed in the micro-channels opened in the hairless area with the pen. This means that the channel opening and implantation processes are performed simultaneously.

Advantages of DHI Technique

No Channel Opening: It is a less traumatic procedure compared to FUE.
Natural Appearance: Since the hair follicles are implanted at their natural angles, the results are more natural.
Faster Healing: The healing process after the procedure may be shorter.
Less Bleeding: There is a lower risk of bleeding as there is no channel opening process.
More Grafts in a Single Session: More grafts can be implanted in a shorter time.
